Benny Dalley - Therapist Intern

Benny (she/her) grew up in Charlottesville, Virginia before moving out west to work with youth backpacking, rock climbing, and camping in California, Washington, and Utah. Benny is a passionate educator and chose to pursue a master’s degree and licensure as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC) due to the growing need for mental health support during these challenging times.

Benny is oriented to counseling through an Existential Therapy framework—how do we create meaning in our lives and cope with loss?—as well as a Narrative Therapy framework—how do our narratives define us and how can we change them? Additionally, Benny brings somatic and art therapy techniques to her work with clients because of a foundational belief that nonverbal processing and expression are essential components of healing.

In her free time, Benny enjoys outdoor pursuits, attending to curiosity and awe in our incredible natural world, and spending time with her Boston Terrier/Pug mix, Charlie.
