Talysha Rubey, LCMHC - Clinical Director, Supervisor, Therapist
Talysha (she/her) believes feeling seen, heard, and valued is one of the biggest catalysts for healing and change, and she actively works to create this kind of connection with each person. She has over a decade of experience working with teens and families in various levels of care (residential, day treatment, intensive outpatient, and outpatient), as well as working with adults with substance use, individuals with disabilities, and children on the Autism Spectrum. Talysha received her undergraduate degree from Utah State University and her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Westminster College.
Talysha has expertise in working with chronically suicidal youth, presenting at multiple conferences on this topic; and is skilled in addressing: attachment, adoption, trauma, depression, anxiety, substance use, and identity. Attachment-Based Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy, Sandtray Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) are a few of the therapeutic models Talysha utilizes. She is invested in understanding the underlying needs and experiences of each person, working collaboratively to find ways to effectively facilitate growth and healing.
In her free time, Talysha enjoys roller-skating, shooting archery, traveling, and spending time with her family and fur babies, Remus and Tika.
